East Naples is the unincorporated stretch along Tamiami Trail East from the Gordon River to Collier Boulevard, taking in Bayshore, the Kelly Road area, Naples Manor, and the newer communities toward Rattlesnake Hammock Road. The housing is the most mixed in the county: 1950s and 1960s block homes on the Bayshore canals with shingle roofs, 1970s and 1980s condos, and 1990s through 2020s subdivisions under tile. It is also where much of the county's roofing trade lives and keeps its yards.
Ian's surge on September 28, 2022, came up Naples Bay and the Gordon River and into the Bayshore canals, flooding ground floors along the finger streets. Wind took shingle off the older homes and ridge tile off the newer ones. Three years on, Bayshore is a mix of rebuilt homes with metal roofs and original homes still under aging shingle.
Call this site and you are connected with an independent roofing contractor who works East Naples. The contractor evaluates the roof and explains what it needs.
A Bayshore or Naples Manor address usually calls about a roof repair on shingle, or a roof replacement that swaps shingle for metal on a rebuilt home. The tile subdivisions off Rattlesnake Hammock call about underlayment on 1990s roofs, which is the tile roofing lift-and-relay question. East Naples is unincorporated, so permits run through the county.
Naples Botanical Garden on Bayshore Drive is the neighborhood's anchor, 90 acres of gardens and natural area that took surge from Ian and reopened in stages. The Bayshore redevelopment district around it is where most of East Naples' new metal roofs have gone up.
