Pine Ridge is the acreage neighborhood between Pine Ridge Road and Vanderbilt Beach Road, west of Goodlette-Frank Road, laid out by the Collier family in the 1960s on lots of one to seven acres. It is not gated and has few restrictions, and the roofs show it: original 1960s ranches under shingle, 1980s and 1990s estates under concrete tile, and new construction with flat tile, metal, or both. Mature slash pines and live oaks hang over many of the rooflines.
